Last Expo for the year...an amazing success

Hello

Well, The Handmade Expo computer is up and running again and we are very excited to show you some photos and let you know how the day was.
We had approx 1250 people through the door. What an amazing response. It was the first weekend for school holidays and families must have just hung out long enough to go to The Handmade Expo first before making their way on holidays...So, thanks for that!
This month, we had access to the PA system within the pavilion...which was lots of fun. The 3 of us all took turns in having a chat. It was very useful for reaching everybody at once. How great was it to be able to give the stallholders a plug throughout the day...letting all customers know of the specials available at each stall. We will certainly be utilising this again for our March and June Expos in Ipswich.
We had a lucky door prize on the hour, every hour, which was a great success and we had 6 very lucky winners who were stoked. Something that they didnt expect to walk away with on a Saturday morning.
I know you are all waiting for the firemen. What a lot of fun those guys were. Bruce and Dale had an amazing time and we loved having them there...we hope that they will come and visit us next year.
Congrats also to Mango Wendesday Ceremics for winning the best dressed Stall (judged by Cr Charlie Pisasle) and for Annette from Gatton Lapidiary Club for winning best dressed stallholder (judged by Dale, the fireman). Thanks to all the Stallholders for getting into the spirit of xmas and dressing up. You certainly made the atmosphere feel very xmasy. A special mention to Barbi O Bears for their singing snowman, the kids loved it (and so did the adults)!
Now it is time for the photos.

So a massive thankyou goes out to all of our stallholders and all of the wonderful customers who come through the door. Thank you for supporting The Handmade Expo...If it wasnt for ALL of you, it wouldnt happen.

MERRY MERRY XMAS TO YOU ALL AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL in 2009.

From Liesa, Micky & Miriam.

ps...our next expo is on Monday 26th Jan (Australia Day) at Jondaryan Woolshed...

What an amazing asset to the Ipswich community..This is something that this wonderful city has needed for a very long time and what better people to bring this to us. Thank you Liesa, Micky & Miriam for putting your plans into action and doing exactly what you said you were going to do. We need more people in the world like you.
I am a very loyal customer of The Handmade Expo and I wish you all the luck for not only the Ipswich Expos, but for the ones you take further a field...these towns are very lucky to have you.
