Your name: Sarah Fitzgerald

Your business name and facebook/website name and link: Ruby & Co Home Decor

The suburb/town you live in now: Midge Point/ Whitsunday Region

What is it that you make and what skills do you use?:
We make concrete decor such as succulent planter pots of different sizes, drink (wine) coasters, trivets, jewellery cones. We always have new creations in the pipelines!

What inspired you to start your business?:
I wanted to buy a concrete planted from the shop & couldn't justify the price so my partner challenged me to make it at home & then my addiction started!

How long have you been creating?:
Approx 10 months

Is it a full time/part time hobby or business?:
Part time at the moment we are always striving to grow & hopefully one day this be a full time adventure.

Where do you sell your creations? The Handmade Expo! We also currently have two local businesses that stock our products 'Urban Village Homewares Cannonvale' & 'Sushi Yum Yum Proserpine'.
We sell from our Facebook & Instagram pages, our big goal is to get setup regularly at the local markets.

What makes you so special or different?: All our products are handmade from start to finish with love & thought through throughly. We grow our own succulents for the planters.

What is the most rewarding part of what you do?: Seeing our finished products & handing them over to their new owners. It is so rewarding to know that we made this & others want it!

What is your favourite product to make?: At the moment we are making marble design products which is so much fun to do as no two designs are ever the same. Our concrete jewellery cones are probably my favourite.

Do you teach classes or workshops?: No
